BIO

From Soldier to Chef....

Currently, an avid outdoorsman, commercial fisherman and chef in the Baton Rouge area. Chef J.P has always enjoyed sharing his recipes and food. He served 16 years in the United States Army and medically retired due to combat-related injuries.  Chef graduated from the Louisiana Culinary Institute in 2018, was nominated and selected for Top 25 Best Chefs of Louisiana by the American Culinary Federation (New Orleans), was nominated for the Small-Town Chefs Award by Country Roads Magazine and competed in the World Food Championships in Dallas Texas.  Chef J.P. is currently serving as the wild catfish board member for the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board. He is also the Consultant Chef for Louisiana Direct Seafood Shop. He has recently been selected as a Regional Director for Cervicide Hunt Club. Chef JP also works as a Field Staff for Kill'n Stix Carbon Arrows and partners with The Seasoned Butcher.
